This individual will be part of the compliance technical group with primary responsibilities of supporting the compliance function. This individual will be responsible for setting up and managing the compliance infrastructure, generating compliance & surveillance reports and responding to data requests. This “hands-on” role will work with both compliance and risk on a daily basis to identify opportunities to efficiently maintain and query data.
Create and implement surveillance reports after determining criteria derived from regulatory and/or business requirements, communicating specifications with others, testing report logic and providing feedback on desired reports and/or output.
Develop and implement procedures so that necessary data is maintained in the database is consistent with regulatory data retention requirements
Create and run queries and other reports to support compliance and risk teams to support the firms monitoring and surveillance programs.
Extract complete and accurate data requested during regulatory audits and inquiries in a timely manner
Identify opportunities to enhance the current process through automation
Expert SQL skills
Strong Data Mining skills
Strong programming and scripting skills (C, C++, Python, BASH)
Experience with SQL, relational databases, and ODBC
Experience with Splunk preferred
Experience with ETL tools
Experience with MicroStrategy (preferred) or other BI tools
Understanding of Linux and System Administration fundamentals
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering, or its equivalent.
At least 5 years trading industry software development experience.
