Job Summary:

Manage personnel for a centralized corporate fuels reporting team that provide for personnel job proficiency, continuity in times of personnel changes, and optimized workload leveling based on team member skills. Read and interpret federal and state regulations as applicable to CITGO compliance to be able to discuss, evaluate, and participate in the development of compliance approaches and defensibility strategies. Promote practices for continuous improvement in reporting quality and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

College Degree (Bachelors Level).

Supervisory experience. Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Must analyze situations and recommend alternative solutions. Must be able to perform complex analysis. Strong analytical and reconciling skills. Advanced Excel and Access. Experience in management systems a plus. SAP experience a plus.

The minimum number of years of job related experience required by this job is 7.

Job Duties:

  • Supervise compliance reporting staff’s day to day operation consistent with CITGO Policies. Establish reporting team goals in alignment with department goals that also provide for personnel job proficiency, continuity in times of personnel changes, and optimized workload leveling based on team member skills. Establish and communicate job performance expectations and opportunities for development. Perform personnel reviews as part of the EDP process.
  • Read and interpret federal and state regulations as applicable to CITGO compliance to be able to discuss, evaluate, and participate in the development of compliance approaches and defensibility strategies. Understand how regulatory interpretations may impact reporting and when reporting data may trigger compliance discussions. Oversee the preparation of correspondence to Federal and State agencies.
  • Facilitate the development and maintenance of CITGO’s reporting procedures to maintain alignment with corporate standards. Promote practices for continuous improvement in reporting quality and efficiency. Execute documentation and review criteria to enhance reporting transparency, reproducibility, and defensibility.
  • Leverage and share reporting knowledge as part of intradepartmental and interdepartmental discussions and working groups and training exercises. Likewise, integrate information learned outside the reporting group to expand the knowledge base of the team.
  • Manage consultants used as part of the reporting process and act as a single point of contact for reporting information leaving the company, i.e. preparation and validation of annual attestation information for all applicable operations.
  • Serve as a common point of information within the reporting group to observe and act on trends, when to escalate concerns, and tighten or establish new alert levels.
