The successful individual will leverage their knowledge and experience to:
Rely on industry knowledge to provide accurate and on time reporting, licensing, and examinations to all federal and state regulatory agencies.
Review the process, timing and accuracy of disclosures and actions to ensure lending decisions, adverse action and demographic trends in relation to HMDA, RESPA, and ECOA compliance along with other federal and state laws and regulations
Based on technical knowledge and research, monitor and update documents, regulations and disclosures.
Update lending system
The accomplished individual will possess:
Extensive knowledge of mortgage banking
Complete working knowledge of the mortgage loan process flow
Extensive working knowledge of all aspects of lending guidelines/regulations
Extensive knowledge in compliance and legal requirements for lending nationally
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to drill down through finite details
Strong decision making with the highest value system
Complete working knowledge of the mortgage lending system
The ideal candidate should have:
College degree mandatory
specialized mortgage banking courses preferred and ongoing education is encourage
law degree or paralegal a plus
2+ years in mortgage compliance required
2+ years in quality control and document preparation management a plus
