The HIX Compliance Specialist will ensure HIX programs are compliant to Federal and State regulations in regard to Health Care Reform, Health Insurance Exchange and Small Group Insurance. The Compliance Specialist will provide reports, documents and information to CHOICE teams and management staff that ensure CHOICE programs are ACA compliant. The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for learning and understanding Health Reform components: The Affordable Care Act, State & Federal (HHS, IRS, DOL, CMS and CCIIO) guidance, Oversight and Compliance Regulations. This position will also be responsible for providing regulatory requirements to CORE and State Implementation teams, reviewing government websites for regulations on a daily/weekly basis, researching questions from staff regarding regulatory compliance and providing summaries of regulatory materials for other manager's review.
Must have 2-4 years of professional related experience. Health industry experience is a plus. Knowled of: Medicare and Medical Programs is a plus. Must have an open mind, be willing to listen, learn, adjust to change and provide input. Must have knowled of customer service techniques, strong reasoning/analytical and problem solving skills. Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner and meet established and sometimes demanding deadlines. Must be able to communicated clearly, concisely, orall and in writing in English with good usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation skills. Knowledge of Windows operating systems, including all Office programs: Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint and PowerPoint. Must have a flexible working attitude; maintain cooperative working relationships with customers, team members and management and willing to learn new things. Type 65 wpm. BA degree or level of education that, together with experience and training enables the applicant to successfully handle all job requirements. Compliance certifications or affiliations advised.
