Operate Medical Center mainframe computers, peripherals, LANs and network devices which include but are not limited to IBM and VAX systems using operating system and network commands.
Monitor computer system(s) availability and performance using software tools and report anomalies as per protocol.
Process batch jobs and manage batch schedules.
Manage tape library.
Manage preventative maintenance schedules.
Manage data security as well as Data Center physical security.
Perform help Desk function and assist internal and external customers with issues relating to computer operations.
Minimum two (2) years relevant computer experience, preferably in a large, complex healthcare environment.
Must have valid California Driver's License.
Must be flexible to work overtime, odd hours, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as scheduled.
Must be willing to travel intra-city when necessary.
Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
