We are currently seeking a Computer Programmer to work at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.

LOCATION
Division of Intramural Research
Bethesda, MD

TASKS/SERVICES . The contractor shall:
Build and deploy an image analysis pipeline for terabyte-sized 3D images.
Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug and test 3D image analysis software, drawing from a large ecosystem of existing code (such as GPUconvnets and OpenCV).
Clearly communicate design decisions, their rationale and ramifications on a regular basis.
Maintain a codebase of modules in a subversion repository.
Develop unit tests for failure models.
Develop a robust build infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS . The contractor must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, mathematics, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience with computer programming or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Python (NumPy, SciPy, etc.).
Experience with CUDA / GPU programming.
Prior experience with image analysis, computer vision or machine learning.
Familiarity with experimental design, algorithms and numerical methods.
Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a software development team.
Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
