The University of South Alabama Medical Center is a regional referral center for south Alabama, southern Mississippi and the panhandle of Florida. It is also the areas’ only level I trauma center. The University of South Alabama Medical Center is managed by the USA HealthCare Management, LLC.

Essential Functions:

Codes and tests Health System Information Services (HSIS) applications, with primary focus on clinical applications, such as Siemens Invision and Soarian; codes using vendor online Architecture tools for development and support of clinical functionality; assists with maintaining Siemens clinical profiles; maintains working knowledge of network environment and attached devices; maintains knowledge base of hospital EMR applications through education; documents training materials and procedures; maintains adequate documentation for auditor requests; accepts and completes all duties positively and without conflict; cooperates by helping others and improving the performance of the unit; completes all mandatory unit, hospital, and educational requirements; utilizes cost effective practices in performing all aspects of the job; adheres to current infection control and safety standards; maintains equipment and supplies necessary to complete essential job functions; abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies and performs these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization’s values; adheres to hospital policies including confidentiality; communicates and uses appropriate customer relations skills in a professional manner; responds to digital pages; participates in on-call support for hospital systems; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required;

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama .

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
