Position summary

Adobe is looking for an exceptional Computer Scientist to develop services for Adobe's Digital Media Solution. In this role, you will be responsible for feature development, bug fixing and unit tests for both web client and server software. You will be part of a SCRUM team. As one of the senior engineers on the team, provide guidance on taking projects from idea conception to shipping quality.


To succeed in this role:
You will create components that can be integrated into a service oriented architecture and functionality exposed via RESTful or SOAP API's.

You will be critical of your work, and accept input from your team and customers.

You will always strive to innovate and think differently.

You will need to stay current with the industry trends and let this influence your work and how you think.


Proven ability to design and build scalable web services.

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of cloud services, caching technologies and network protocols.

Familiarity with continuous integration principles, build and deployment automation software.

C++ and/or Java, or other OOP language experience in developing/designing large-scale software systems.

Work very well as part of an Agile development team practicing SCRUM.

Be comfortable with a very fast paced environment.

Have a strong customer focus.

BS or MS in Computer Science.

Experience designing and developing scalable, multithreaded systems

Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.

Ability to receive (and deliver) constructive, knowledgeable, and accurate feedback in a team setting.

Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills

Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt.

Additional Desired Skills

Experience with streaming protocols; RTMP, HDS, HLS.

Experience with DRM technologies; Flash Access, PlayReady.

Familiarity with Jenkins, Eclipse and Perforce.

Experience with Adobe Omniture Marketing Suite or similar analytics systems.

Experience with Adobe Auditude (or other) video ad platform.
