Job Description:
Successful candidate will be responsible for IT support of Market Monitoring and Finance applications in a complex and demanding environment.

Job duties include the day to day support of Lawson and SAS based applications. Tasks include on-going maintenance of applications, infrastructure and functions for two distinct business units. Application development and bug fixes and enhancements of SAS related applications include macro variables. Financial Application Support includes Lawson System Administration; Application Upgrades, Bug Fixes and enhancements.

Individual must be able to troubleshoot technical issues by identifying root cause and develop a plan for problem resolution.
This role includes 24/7 on-call support rotation. Ability to adjust appropriately to shifting business priorities and assignments is a must.

The candidate must utilize a software development life cycle and manage production business processes to resolve software problems and improvements by writing user change requests and functional specifications. Also, the individual will gather business requirements from users and prepare requirements specifications. Identify problems and develop a plan for problem resolution. Design, program, implement code, test, install and configure applications. Work in a team environment to support user and other technical staff. Learn ISO-NE business processes and adhere to ISO-NE software, change management and IT standards and policies. Exceptional teamwork, strong interpersonal and problem solving skills are critical. Job Requirements:
Associate Computer Scientist:
• Minimum: Three (3) to five (5) years Software detail design, programming & testing using SAS, COBOL or JAVA
• Ability and willingness to Learn SAS and COBOL and Lawson Administration, Lawson Applications, Lawson System Foundation and Lawson Business Intelligence Administration.
• Experience with Application Security modeling
• Demonstrated experience with Linux and Windows
• Demonstrated experience with Business Requirements gathering and Customer/Desktop Support
• Demonstrated ability to provide programming and procedure training to less experienced employees.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL
Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Code Management practices
• Desired knowledge of Crystal Reports and/or Jasper Reports
• Working knowledge of JEE and Struts
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal, and problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Computer Scientist:

• Five (5) to seven (7) years Software detail design, programming & testing using SAS and MF COBOL.
• Five (5) to seven (7) years Lawson Applications, Lawson System Foundation and Lawson Business Intelligence Administration
• Demonstrated experience with Lawson v9 Security
• Demonstrated experience with Linux and Windows
• Demonstrated experience with Business Requirements gathering and Customer/Desktop Support
• Demonstrated ability to provide programming and procedure training to less experienced employees.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL
Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Code Management practices
• Strong knowledge of Crystal Reports and/or Jasper Reports
• Working knowledge of JEE and Struts
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal, and problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Other desirable skills

• Help Desk Experience
• Use of ticket-based system to manage open issues and assignments is desirable.
• Experience with Websphere and JBOSS Installation and Configuration
• Experience with Lawson Process Flow and Design Studio
• Experience with SAS ODS, Linux, PERL, or Excel are a plus

Candidate must possess strong teamwork, interpersonal, customer service and problem solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Bachelor’s Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (with Computer Science focus) or equivalent experience
