Qualifications Summary:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and at least 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems, Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office 2003-2010, and basic networking concepts is required. Knowledge of network printers and good troubleshooting skills is strongly preferred.

Job Description Summary:
Will be responsible for responding to user requests via email, phone and help desk. Will be troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining desktop computers and peripherals, as well as assisting with relaying telephony requests to the VA. Duties will include: Setup and deploy PC & Mac computers, transfer settings & data between computers, setup & configure printers and network devices. T roubleshoot and fix software and hardware issues on desktop systems, phones, printers, and network devices. Troubleshoot and repair peripherals (printers, monitors, scanners, etc.). Monitor data backup processes including the on-site and off-site rotation of tapes. Manage day-to-day backup tasks for Core servers, as well as Research SAN. Answer support calls, respond to emails and address employee walk-up questions. Relay telephony requests to VA Telecom group. Resolve helpdesk tickets. Run and terminate data cable for in-office connectivity. Perform basic troubleshooting to network connections. Maintain printer consumables and general IT supplies. Maintain IT supplies. Maintain IT equipment inventory. May perform additional duties as required.
