GENCO has an
immediate opening for a Computer Support Technician with our corporate office
in Blawnox, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh. This position requires the incumbent to
perform functions that include drawing upon hardware and application experience
in order to provide technical resolution to business solutions; supporting
systems operations by resolving issues; creating efficient, analytical
decisions; preparing and leading informal training sessions for users; serving
as a technical information resource; and meeting with management on a regular
basis to report the status of projects and/or issues.

The Computer
Support Technician must be proficient in providing customer support, systems
analysis and design, analytical thinking, and data communications. The position
requires interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge in a functional/user
area, aid in user relations, assessing user needs, and the ability to work in a
demanding environment.


Computer Support Technician is responsible for:
Setting up equipment for teammate use

Troubleshooting hardware, software and peripheral issues on
end-user PCs and laptops

Repairing hardware and software related issues on end-user
PCs and laptops

Ensuring daily performance of computer systems

Answering user inquiries to resolve problems

Assisting with on-site installation activities

Working on special projects as needed

Interacting with internal/external customers

Maintaining break/fix tickets and change requests



selected candidate will have:

  • 3
years experience supporting a multi-office environment

Excellent computer skills

In-Depth understanding of Windows OS

Ability to troubleshoot problems via remote access tools

Working knowledge of Windows server platforms

Knowledge of Apple/Mac products and associated OS a plus

Understanding of networking concepts

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Superior customer service skills

Excellent written and verbal skills

Ability to travel up to 25%

Active Directory/Exchange knowledge a plus

Multi-tasking capabilities

Exceptional problem solving / analytical skills

Orientation for attention to detail

Experience in a fast-pace environment
