Provide computer networking and software support for the faculty and staff of the IU Bloomington Center for Medical Education. This position will have primary responsibility for the IU Bloomington location but will be required to support other centers as well. The individual will report to the Manager of Support Services in Indianapolis. They will be expected to attend meetings on the Indianapolis campus 2-3 times a month.
Will provide line service to faculty and staff by assisting with software problems; set up new and reassigned computers and equipment. Will perform server maintenance activities.
Required: Associate's Degree or 2 years of college (at least 60 credit hours earned) in a computer-related discipline from an accredited institution, plus 3 years of computer networking and software support experience; or High School diploma, plus 7 years of computer networking and software support experience.; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, plus some experience in computer networking and software support.
Knowledge, skills and abilities in Windows operating systems; basic understanding of networking, Microsoft office experience including excel, outlook, word and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Customer service focused and high level of professionalism. Ability to prioritize, handle emergency and stressful situations.
