Computer Support Technician

This position requires the incumbent to perform functions that include drawing upon hardware and application experience in order to provide technical resolution to business solutions; supporting systems operations by resolving issues; creating efficient, analytical decisions; preparing and leading informal training sessions for users; serving as a technical information resource; and meeting with management on a regular basis to report the status of projects and/or issues.

This person must be proficient in providing customer support, systems analysis and design, analytical thinking, and data communications. The position requires interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge in a functional/user area, aid in user relations, assessing user needs, and the ability to work in a demanding environment.

The Computer Support Technician is responsible for:
• Setting up equipment for teammate use
• Troubleshooting hardware, software and peripheral issues on end-user PCs and laptops
• Repairing hardware and software related issues on end-user PCs and laptops
• Ensuring daily performance of computer systems
• Answering user inquiries to resolve problems
• Assisting with on-site installation activities
• Working on special projects as needed
• Interacting with internal/external customers
• Maintaining break/fix tickets and change requests

The selected candidate will have:
• 1-3 years ’ experience supporting a multi-office environment
• Excellent computer skills
• In-Depth understanding of Windows OS
• Ability to troubleshoot problems via remote access tools
• Working knowledge of Windows server platforms
• Knowledge of Apple/Mac products and associated OS a plus
• Understanding of networking concepts
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Superior customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Active Directory/Exchange knowledge a plus
• Multi-tasking capabilities
• Exceptional problem solving / analytical skills
• Orientation for attention to detail
• Experience in a fast-pace environment
