The function of this position is to provide administration and support for production Information Technology Services Windows Servers and backup support for Linux systems. This support is provided on all Windows Server and Linux platforms supported by Information Technology Services. |
Scope is wide-ranging and includes responsibility for multiple university-wide Windows Server and Linux operating systems and services. Has shared impact on final results and has directed freedom to act as required to maintain expected service levels.
Position Details Continued:
A Bachelor's degree and three (3) years professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Minimum/Required Qualifications continued:
Experience administering servers in the Microsoft suite of server products including Windows 2003/2008, Active Directory, SharePoint Server, Certificate Services, Network Policy Server, System Center products, Forefront Identity Manager, SQL Server, IIS and Exchange Server.
Experience working as a computer systems administrator in an enterprise production environment
Working knowledge of common Windows Server scripting tools, .NET and C#.
Working knowledge and understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange Server system fundamentals.
Advanced proficiency with Windows Server systems administration.
Basic knowledge of Linux systems administration.
Demonstrated ability to work individually.
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
Ability to convey technical information to a diverse audience through written documents and oral presentations.
