Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems is seeking an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in Boulder, Colorado.
The successful candidate will primarily perform as the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) supporting the design, development, evaluation, and accreditation of information systems ranging from standalone systems to distributed DoD and interconnected (WAN/LAN) computer systems. Responsibilities include developing system security policy and plans, secure network architectures, requirements, operational concepts, and security accreditation plans and procedures.
The selected candidate will configure information systems, prepare System Security Plans to be submitted for approval, perform security reviews and inspections of classified computer systems and networks, complete security incident investigations and cleanup, guide and train the Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) and system administrators on the current system security requirements.
The individual must have experience accrediting systems under the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM); knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance 8500.2 standards as implemented under Department of Defense Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP) is also desired.
May be required to support across other security disciplines including Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Collateral, Communications Security (COMSEC), physical, information, personnel and operations security.
The successful candidate must have a flexible work style, effective verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work comfortably in a team environment. Occasional travel within the United States may be required. Additional duties may be assigned commensurate with business need and ability.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or information systems related discipline. Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 10 Years with Bachelors; 8 Years with Masters or must currently be in an equivalent band level within Northrop Grumman.
Recent and related industrial security work experience within the last 5 years.
Experience with System Security Plan development and accrediting systems under the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the NISPOM, specifically NISPOM Chapter 8.
Knowledge of and experience with Defense Security Service ODAA processes and procedures.
Working knowledge of the DSS Industrial Security Field Operations (ISFO) Process Manual.
Active DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
Information assurance work experience (9+ years) including system security plan development, certification and accreditation experience.
Knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance 8500.2 standards as implemented under DoD Information Technology Security and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP)
Completion of DSS DoD Security curriculum
Current 8570 certification (CISSP, Security +)
Familiarity with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Experience in SCIF/SAPF environments
ICD 503 knowledgeable
Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
