Butler Snow, a multi-office, regional law firm, is seeking to fill an Events and Conference Center Coordinator position working in our Nashville, TN office. This is a full time position with a competitive salary, benefits and great in-house training opportunities.

  • Operates within Firm’s established procedures and standards
  • Supervises various event, meeting and hospitality functions ensuring that consistent, quality, and cost effective services are provided
  • Has a fundamental and strategic understanding of events, meetings and hospitality services and can independently manage and make recommendations to management
  • Monitors and evaluates performance of hospitality staff. Helps identify opportunities for staff development and cross training
  • Manages proper and timely utilization of the audio visual equipment and staff with a functional understanding of how to operate same when called upon to do so
  • May be called upon to provide hospitality services in times of unusual activity or when staff persons are out, including, but not limited to, coordination with caterers, service responsibilities, ability to relocate furniture and seating when needed, inventory, and maintenance and cleanup of hospitality areas
  • Implements strategies to achieve performance targets
  • Ensures that every Client is receiving a 5-star experience
  • Maintains excellent client relations
  • Demonstrates an exceptional level of professionalism and customer service for the staff to emulate
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of systems, tools, work routines and procedures related to events, and meetings
  • Meeting planning experience a must
  • CMP Certification a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are required
  • Individual must possess strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Computer skills required including in depth experience and knowledge of full range of Microsoft Suite programs
  • Ability to work in a professional environment required including ability to interact with clients in a highly professional manner.
  • Audio visual experience a plus
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to the changing environment in a practical and effective way, enabling others to do the same
  • Ability to put emphasis on teamwork into practice through being a great team member, and/or team leader, promoting cooperation within and between teams across the firm
  • Food Service experience and/or professional certification a plus
  • Approximately 2-5 years of related work experience
  • Ability to focus efforts on external and internal clients, address their present and future needs, provide quality service and ensure client satisfaction
