Minimum Skills/Certifications:
Solid understanding of Configuration Management best practices and principles.

Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

Strong collaborative and negotiation skills
Must be able to work well with a diverse work force.

Must be able to work with little supervision.

Ability to work independently and respond to multiple requests under tight deadlines and in a dynamic working environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with technical project leads, developers, logistics, vendors, and all other team members.

Strong initiative/self starter.

Software: MS Office Suite.

Must be able to obtain at least a SECRET clearance.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and 4+ years of work experience.

Certified International Configuration Management (CICM).

Certified International Software Configuration Management (CISCM).

Certified International Configuration Management Professional (CCMP).

Desired Skills:
Clear understanding of and experience with Data, Hardware, and Software Configuration Management during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development Phase, the Production and Deployment Phase, and the Operations and Support Phase of the Integrated Defense.Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Life Cycle Management System.

Understanding of Defense Acquisition Framework.

Understanding of CMMI methodology and implementation.

Experience with Defense Contracting.

Ability to improve processes and promote quality and apply feedback to improve performance.

Software:
CMPRO.

Rational Requisite Professional.

Microsoft SharePoint.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities, & Essential Job Functions:
The candidate will be responsible for establishing, documenting, adhering to, improving, and communicating Configuration Management processes for software, hardware, and systems.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring Configuration Management processes are in place across the product life cycle.

The candidate will work with project management to ensure the Configuration Management processes are implemented and followed by all project team members.

The major responsibilities of the position are:
Establish and monitor processes and procedures to guard against breakdowns in the Configuration Management project lifecycle.

Interface with and brief project management to maintain visibility of project configuration status.

Maintain Configuration Management database and ensure proper Configuration Management methods are applied to all project documentation.

Research, Write, Evaluate, and Implement plans, charters, and process documents for Configuration Management.

Train team members in the role of Configuration Management.

Manage and maintain the change control process and baselines.

Lead and Manage Local Configuration Control Boards (LCCB) and Configuration Control Boards (CCB) for projects.

Produce reports indicating status of configuration items and communicate to team members.

Conduct Configuration Management project audits.

Analyze processes and schedules and identify areas of risk or conflict.

Participate in periodic audits and reviews and communicates results to management.

Manage software builds and changes to build lists and releases for project.

Manage distribution of all software to the user as required.

Conduct market research for new software applications.

Track and manage the purchase and renewal all Software and Licenses in use by project.
