Configurator Administrator
Rexnord Industries, LLC. - Orange, MA
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1.) Development of product & quote configurators

  • Creating of quote configurators for highly engineered products and commodities
  • Reproduction of the variance of products with product-dependent attributes
  • Build-up a configuration logic for the reproduction of products in a technical correct form
  • Compiling sales texts in accordance to the selected attributes
  • Maintenance and upgrading of existing quote configurators
2) Calculation

  • Mapping of production costs or purchase prices via order numbers and/or price lists (also from sub-suppliers)
  • Continuous validity check of production costs and purchase prices in cooperation with Controlling and Purchasing Department
  • Periodical price adjustment: annual updating of price lists
  • Updating and maintenance of different types of calculation schemes for special user groups
3) Documentation

  • Build-up and maintenance of document templates
4) Administration

  • Cooperation with the local IT-Service concerning new releases and interfaces
  • Monitoring of new program releases and testing of new functions for the concerned user group
5) Support

  • Support of end users in their daily business
  • Training on the program for new colleagues
  • Realisation of user requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, technical background
  • Excellent IT/computer skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Experience in programming visual basic or similar
  • Commercial knowledge
  • Highly self organized
  • Language: English, ideal would be also German
