The successful candidate will provide product configuration for required systems functionality based on detailed analysis of business requirements from internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will collaborate with an implementation team consisting of other Business Analysts, Data Analysts, Client Managers, Product Managers, Project Managers, Developers, QA and support teams, and others on an as-needed basis.
The ideal candidate for this challenging position is a seasoned professional with superb communication skills, and strong business etiquette that can effectively analyze complex business requirements and translate them into configuration tasks which they will then execute. The candidate should have a solid technical foundation enabling her or him to communicate effectively with development teams, and should have 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst working on complex transactional applications.
This position requires a proactive person with a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, resourcefulness, insatiable curiosity and strong problem solving skills. A strong ability to lead and influence team members without direct authority is essential to success.
Gather necessary requirements and related business data necessary for use in the configuration of the ACTIVE Works product being implemented.
Quickly develop as an ACTIVE Works Product Expert capable of providing consultative recommendations for the configuration of the product to meet specific business requirements.
Able to quickly and proactively develop productive professional relationships with all levels of staff including business stakeholders, peers, leadership, and clients.
Configure system in its current state to meet as many business requirements as possible in an “out-of-the-box” fashion.
Provide support during Gap Analysis process to assist in the documentation of gaps discovered during configuration of the product. Attempt to resolve gaps through changes to configuration where possible.
Provide prompt issue monitoring, escalation, and resolution during initial configuration, QA and UAT phases of implementation.
Minimum 5 years experience in requirements definition, systems analysis or solution design.
Working understanding of enterprise level software solution architecture, data structures, requirements processes and documentation.
Prior experience in configuration of COTS software packages is highly desired.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in-person
Strong customer facing skills, including software demonstrations, requirements interviews, etc. both in-person and remotely via internet.
Highly organized, detail-oriented individual able to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently within a team environment with minimal supervision.
Experience specifying CRM, e-Commerce, POS, inventory management and accounting systems is highly desired.
Ability to succeed in fast-paced environment working with shifting and competing priorities.
Prefers to work cross-functionally, interacting with team members of varying roles.
A seasoned, career oriented business analysis professional with a demonstrable track record of achieving individual and collaborative project success.
Strong knowledge of the IIBA, specific requirements management tools and techniques, and an understanding of a variety of Software Development Lifecycles (including AGILE development methodologies) is a plus.
