Job Title: Construction Coordinator
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: St. Louis area
Compensation: $75k, +/-, commensurate w/ experience

About our Client:
Our client, with both U.S. and international plants, offices, and research facilities, develops and manufactures petroleum additives that help fuels burn cleaner and more efficiently, engines run smoother and machines last longer.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development and management of daily work plans as well as assigning and directing contract employees in the construction, operations, maintenance and repair of overhead and underground infrastructure.

Coordinates activities with various plant personnel and groups: engineering, maintenance, operations, project manager and outside contractors. Responsible for making sure that all projects adhere to company safety procedures and permitting requirements. Maintains records of project change codes, work performed, and hours worked by all construction trades. Ensures that all contractors are executing per the approved project drawings, scope of work and company specifications. Executes the planning for, and scheduling of the delivery of materials and labor required by the contractors and updates the project plan via a detailed construction schedule. Team member in the negotiating and analysis of all bid packages on a project. Strategic development for current and future projects. Supports the project manager in scheduling field work. Monitors construction progress to keep account of construction expenditures and develops construction cost and schedule forecasts. Prepares construction progress review updates for inclusion in the project status updates. Identify and report any potential deviations in the field to the project manager in a timely fashion. Other duties as assigned .

Job Requirements:
Technical degree or 4 year university degree 5 to 15 years experience; petrochemical experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project Detail oriented; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized and time oriented .
