Applications are now being accepted to join our team as a Construction Inspector within the Community Development Department. This is a full time position working Monday through Friday with work hours varying based on construction activity. Duties include inspection of public infrastructure projects to ensure contractor compliance with approved plans and specifications; prepares detailed daily reports and documents all construction activity for each job being inspected; maintains productive and positive working relationships with contractors, the public and fellow employees.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of two (2) years field inspection experience. ACI Concrete Field Tester Certification and KDOT Certified Inspector in Basic Inspection, Structures, Asphalt Inspection and Concrete Inspection preferred. Must have HS/GED and valid driver's license with good driving record.
Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of physical, drug screen and background investigation. Starting salary is $40,870 to $51,540 depending on qualifications.
