** ASSIGNED LOCATION FOR THIS POSITION IS FLEXIBLE - RACINE, MADISON, or MILWAUKEE **

The construction loan administrator ensures that commercial real estate construction and rehabilitation loans are properly monitored and serviced through the construction process so projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with documented credit approval.

Responsibilities include the following:

Construction Project Status Reports
  • Monthly overview of all bank financed construction projects
  • Incorporate comments with respect to RM activity
  • Report on compliance with construction draw procedures
Perform Analytics on Commercial Real Estate Construction Loan Portfolio
  • Monitor procedure variances
  • Monitor new / renewed loans
  • Monitor construction loan policy, procedures and underwriting guidelines
Coordinate Loan Closings
  • Review approved loan presentations
  • Complete / review completed sworn cost statement
  • Work with RM, borrower, legal counsel and title company to close the loan
Manage Draw Request Process
  • Receive draw requests from borrower
  • Process draw requests after confirmation and follow up if necessary
  • Authorize release of proceeds, coordinate with title company
Attend Monthly Inspections
  • Attend meetings with RM and architect/engineer to ensure process of construction, potential delays, budget status and other matters
  • Monitor interest reserve as appropriate

Minimum of 3 years construction loan administration and/or related commercial real estate lending experience. Candidate should have a working knowledge of commercial real estate loan documentation, title insurance, and construction practices. Must be self-motivated, possess attention to detail, be results oriented, and have the ability to effectively communicate at all levels inside and outside the organization.

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance preferred; the appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered.
