The Construction Project Financial Assistant position manages documentation and administrative requirements to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications. This individual supports multiple Project Managers and works on a peer basis with other team members. This position is responsible for assisting in the administrative processing of all phases of the construction project process, from pre-bid inception to the successful completion of diverse construction projects.
The Construction Project Financial Assistant responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Supporting team members in the management of multiple projects while maintaining a command of details, timelines and next steps. Activities may include but are not limited to; the preparation of contracts, change orders, monthly invoices including lien waivers and sworn statements; maintaining project files; maintaining logs, including submittal logs, RFI log, change estimate log and certified payroll; and processing and distributing shop drawings.
Performing general office administration tasks: distribution of documents as directed by the project manager, meeting coordination and recording minutes, preparing correspondence, filing, answering phones, etc.
Fostering a collaborative team environment among internal teams by assisting other team members with projects, providing occasional phone coverage, and other tasks as needed.
Creating and sustaining positive relationships with owners, sub contractors and internal team members.
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
3 - 5 years Construction Office and/or project management experience
Strong computer skills
Good communication skills, both verbally and in written form
Ability to work well with others
