Construction / Facility Maintenance
Central Transport, LLC., one of the leading transportation and logistics firms in the nation, is currently seeking qualified candidates for Construction / Facility Maintenance positions based in Charlotte, NC. These positions require a considerable amount of travel to our facilities all across the U.S. We are looking for aggressive, forward thinking, and highly motivated candidates to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Extensive travel (at least 80%) to company owned facilities for general dock and facility repairs
Operation of company straight truck to transport supplies and equipment
General welding: dock plates, dock bumpers, etc.
Minor concrete repair
Low voltage electrical repairs
This position offers competitive pay ($15 - $18/hr based on experience), overtime, benefits package, 401(k), paid time off, and life insurance. The position also includes $20/day per diem while traveling, an expense account for fuel and/or business related purchases, as well as mileage reimbursement based on company policy.
- All necessary tools and equipment provided by the company.
- Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen and physical in addition to having a clean driving history.

The ideal candidate should possess:
3-5 years general maintenance repair/troubleshooting
Class A or B CDL preferred but not required (Chauffer’s license required)
3-5 years of general welding experience (steel)
Ability to operate a variety of lift equipment including but not limited to: forklifts and scissor lifts
Dock plate and dock leveler installation and repair experience (preferred, not required)
Familiarity with minor form setting and concrete work
Ability to effectively communicate with internal as well as external customers
