Technical lead for small team of software engineers located both onshore and offshore providing mentoring and training, coordinating and assigning tasks and evaluating deliverables to ensure quality. SME for EDI VAPs and GXS applications acting as the second level point of escalation to handle complex application break/fix issues during business hours and 24x7 on call rotation. Lead technical resolution of severity 1/2 production issues. Provide high level estimates, requirements, design, application development, testing and deployment for EDI VAPs and GXS enhancement requests (efforts requiring less than 500 hours of effort). Participate in all phases of the solution delivery model including plan, build and run for mid to large scale EDI projects (efforts requiring more than 500 hours of effort). Participate in strategy and planning initiatives. Provide training and mentoring to members of the tier 1 and tier 2 EDI support teams. Provide tech nical documentation for system design and support related processes and procedures. Requires BS in computer science, business or related field plus: 72 months experience with GXS or similar B2B applications, Oracle, and SQL server; 48 months with scripting (shell, Perl, ksh, etc.); and 24 months with VC++ and object oriented programming concepts, MFT technologies (AS2, FTP/S, SFTP), Java/J2EE concepts, Websphere, and MQ and other JMS queue based technologies.
