Job Title: Clinical Operations Consultant (Nurse)

Accountabilities

The Clinical Operations Consultant is responsible for the maintenance of customer relationships in assigned accounts, maintaining a high level of customer service at or above expectations, and demonstrating accountability for their part in the CareFusion sales process. This position also serves as an IV therapy and instrument educator, planner, and clinical expert for CareFusion customers as well as sales and home office personnel. Provides consultation to hospitals considering or using CareFusion infusion products during the pre-sale, pre-implementation, and implementation process. In addition, the Clinical Consultant provides follow-up in targeted accounts to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Home-based position with up to 90% regional travel. Must live near a major airport. Ideal candidate will reside in New York

Specific duties include:
Demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical operations, products and services

Participates in or leads clinical pre-sales support, assessment and evaluation of new products and services

Participates in or leads the post-sales assessment, design, implementation and monitoring of new products and services

Develops, plans and manages customer training programs

Serves as lead consultant and resource to internal and external customers

Makes recommendations that will drive customer acceptance and utilization of new products and services

Identifies and communicates opportunities for product improvement using direct customer feedback

Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own job family

Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations

Works independently with minimal guidance

Usually determines own work priorities

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Job Family Summary

Clinical Operations is responsible for supporting the timely and quality sale, installation and monitoring of CareFusion products and services; may also provide product and service education to facilitate technology adoption and workflow change management.

What is expected of you for success in your role

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical operations, products and services
Participates in or leads clinical pre-sales support, assessment and evaluation of new products and services
Participates in or leads the post-sales assessment, design, implementation and monitoring of new products and services
Develops, plans and manages customer training programs
Serves as lead consultant and resource to internal and external customers
Makes recommendations that will drive customer acceptance and utilization of new products and services
Identifies and communicates opportunities for product improvement using direct customer feedback

Undergrad degree required; Advanced degree preferred
Current active RN license with experience in clinical hospital nursing.
4-6 years of experience in related field.
Prior leadership role in nursing preferred; nurse educator also a plus
Ability to travel up to 90% required.
Upon hire, must meet company standards as a result of a three year driving record background check.
Upon hire, must provide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs must include: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis.
