Direct responsibility for support, communication and coordination of consultant relations activities in home and satellite offices. Act as external contact for consultant community. Develop workflow procedures and follow established procedures relating to supporting consultant relations activities.
Act as primary liaison/contact for consultant relations personnel in local and satellite offices.
Act as a primary resource for investment consultants providing appropriate firm, product, performance and other data on both a regular and ad hoc basis. Interface with external and internal contacts around all details, logistics and materials relative to final presentations, consultant meetings and due diligence meetings. Interface with investment department and senior management in coordination of meetings. Responsible for initiating and follow-through on problem resolution and information requests.
Develop and maintain personal relationship with consultants to support a high level of service with consulting firm for MFSI.
Coordinate all aspects of MFSI consultant meetings. Play a larger role in representing MFS capabilities to externalconsultants.
Be up to date on industry news, including industry publications, conferences, and seminars. Disseminate relevant information to members of MFSI and update SLX as appropriate.
Represent MFS at industry conferences/events as requested.
Create customized consultant presentations for full spectrum of Institutional investment products. Use discretion and judgment to provide appropriate information to consultants. Use initiative in creating ad hoc materials to enhance consultants' understanding of the firm and our products.
Direct responsibility for vendor contact with competitive database and consultant analytic packages (i.e. Mercer MPA, eVestment Alliance). Interface with vendors/consultants on an ongoing basis to ensure quality of services provided. Work with outside vendors to develop customized training modules to suit MFSI business needs and coordinate implementation of training to appropriate work groups.
Coordinate all aspects of MFSI external events such as consultant roadshows, product focused events and industry conferences. Manage all details with event planning and external vendors working within department budget. Manage coordination and production of all materials. Act as primary contact to all external attendees to MFSI sponsored events.
Develop, communicate and implement workflow procedures relative to consultant relations functions. Communicate issues or trends to manager relative to workflow, operational, or compliance issues that arise in course of job responsibilities.
Analyze multiple aspects of new business activities on a regular basis. Determine and document trends in quarterly activity for MFSI Management Committee by product, region, size, etc. Communicate industry trends, competitive information and current search activities appropriately. Gather information for consultant profiles and consultant product ratings to share with the team and upper management.
Coordinate regular and specialized mailing to established contact lists. Use judgment in determining customized lists for targeted, time sensitive communications.
Utilize SalesLogix database as central resource to maintain and track all global consultant contacts and activities. Generate regular and custom sales/opportunity/consultant reports as necessary.
Process correspondence, prepare presentation materials independently and with direction from sales/consultant relations personnel and ensure timely completion and delivery of these materials for various opportunities
Assist other teams with in the department and perform additional duties as requested.
Minimum of four years' general business experience, preferably in a sales, marketing or financial services environment.
Ability to work independently, providing simultaneous support to several individuals.
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Position requires FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations in accordance with MFS' licensing policy.
