The Medical Director would oversee mid-level practitioners and nursing staff for routine admission history and physicals, management of non-urgent routine medical care and outpatient detoxification services for appropriate clients.
We are looking for a team player who is interested in changing the way addiction treatment is provided while building on evidence based practices. The Medical Director ensures on a day-to-day basis that the medical team carries out Hazelden's promise to our patients: that patients, families and customers will have the best opportunity for lifelong recovery. The medical director does this by providing medical oversight for the Hazelden Naples program by overseeing mid-level practitioners and nursing staff for routine admission history and physicals, management of non-urgent routine medical care and outpatient detoxification services for appropriate clients, acting as a liaison to the local medical community, participating in the establishment and implementation of health care policies, examining and treating patients and performing related duties as required under administrative direction of the Chief Medical Officer and the site-specific Executive Director.
