General Description / Purpose:
Develop & implement strategy for current Consumer Networks programs [Consumer Electronics Advanced Optical Cables (CE AOC), Device to Device Optical Cable (DDOC)], and future applications Lead the market development and commercialization of products aimed at new markets [not covered by Carrier Networks (CN), Enterprise Networks (EN), Wireless Networks (WN)]

Responsibilities:
Align w/ Product Line Management (PLM) to develop and maintain product sets for consumer electronics and other target markets Drive new market commercialization plans; recommend integration of new market commercial organization structure upon maturation Create, maintain, and position value propositions for each targeted market segment Develop and maintain network models / databases for all relevant Very Short Distance Network (VSDN) architectures to use in customer business cases Protect sustainable competitive advantage as business matures Understand and influence appropriate standards (USB, Thunderbolt, HDMI, etc) and OEM optical designs Monitor competition in consumer applications Represent Corning in key industry activities

Experiences/Education:
Required

Bachelor’s Degree – General. Work experience in at least two of the following areas: Commercial AND either Development (for stage I-III programs), Manufacturing (for Stage IV programs), OR Engineering. Experience working across multiple functions or divisions. Work experience with the Innovation Process at Corning, preferably as a work stream leader (Market, Product, Process, Business Case). Demonstrated track record of leading projects. Demonstrated track record of leading multi-functional teams. Ability to travel internationally. Willingness to relocate.

Desired

Bachelor’s Degree – Technical. Master’s Degree – Technical or Business. Work experience in at least two of the following areas: Commercial, Development, Manufacturing, or Engineering. Work experience in emerging markets, technologies or new business development (i.e., adjacent market /existing technology). Completion of Innovation Black Belt training. Completion of Project Management training. Completion of Leadership Fundamentals for Program Managers (LFPM) course.
