We are seeking a Content Development & Delivery Management Specialist to focus on content creation and management of delivery programs to increase user education and enablement for GE Transportation Optimization Solutions, the leading provider of transportation management software and analytics to the rail industry.

Essential Responsibilities
If you are the right fit for this role, you will be someone who is a content expert and enjoys creating and managing commercial, technical, and educational materials. The desired candidate is a strong writer and editor with experience in creating commercial and technical content, managing forums for content delivery, and using data and analysis to report results. The candidate should have a creative and entrepreneurial spirit and concrete ideas for content development and delivery.
As a key member of the team, you will assist many parts of the organization with content development needs. Success in this role means you will excel in taking complex information and transforming it into clear and compelling content. You will also be skilled with writing effective, benefit-oriented commercial content and concise and informative technical content. In addition, you will:
  • Lead and manage a team to develop and manage the delivery of commercial and technical content
  • Act as team leader and key contributor to achieve all content development and delivery management responsibilities
  • Serve internal customers – Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Services, and Development to ensure all content development and delivery management needs are met
  • Produce effective and engaging content to support and drive commercial effectiveness, user education, and user enablement across all product lines
  • Design, create, and manage all commercial content including print and digital collateral, presentations, brochures, solution overviews, product sheets, fact sheets, website content, newsletters, and sales tools
  • Author user guides, technical manuals, release note, product documentation, training tools, and tutorials that enable customers to fully utilize our products and solutions
  • Work with the Product Management and Development teams to identify user requirements and write detailed specification documents
  • Develop and manage content delivery forums across multiple channels – video, webex, blog, online chat, and e-learning to increase user education and enablement
  • Manage the content delivery program to help identify and drive opportunities for training engagements and assignments
  • Develop reporting and measurement tools to understand content use and effectiveness by work product and across channels

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 additional years of experience in a marketing or sales role)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing Communications including Advertising, Sales Promotion, and Press Relations

    Desired Characteristics
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience
  • Functional experience in Marketing, Communications, and Technical Writing
  • Expertise in content creation including writing, editing, and graphic design
  • Strong probing and listening skills to uncover “pain points” and business needs
  • Technical skills; including: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, MS Publisher, WordPress, Dreamweaver, FrontPage, HTML / CSS, CMS, Mac OS, audio / video editing Why join one great company when you can join many?
