Provide day-to-day support of Performance Improvement initiatives, at the service line level, that will foster and drive an environment of continuous improvement. Coordinate and facilitate improvement projects and Rapid Improvement Events. Coach service line staff members in “Managing for Daily Improvement” activities and monitoring performance against targets. Work with staff and leadership to bring improvement projects to completion.
Partner with Improvement and Innovation Consultant to create plans for PI events and projects. Coordinate performance improvement activities including assisting performance improvement teams with analysis of clinical performance measures to identify areas for improvement in quality, patient safety, and risk management.
Assist in facilitating performance improvement events with Improvement and Innovation Consultant and event Team Leads. Coordinate event logistics, agendas, and other event preparation as required.
Lead service line teams in current state process mapping and data collection. Participate in team selection, daily, and final report-outs.
Work with front line staff to ensure events and projects are brought to completion. Report progress and issues to Improvement and Innovation Consultant and departmental leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
1 year of relevant experience.
Must possess an affinity for understanding complex concepts and process improvement.
Ability to work independently using critical thinking skills. Initiative, innovation, and problem solving skills to respond to a variety of situations appropriately and to make recommendations to initiate process improvements.
Must be able to expeditiously handle multiple and competing responsibilities and prioritize appropriately.
Discretion, confidentiality, tact, and ability to deal with sensitive issues.
