We are currently assisting our client, $500MM Building Products Manufacturer, in a search to identify a high potential Continuous Improvement Coordinator. Initially, it will be to champion Lean culture and Continuous Improvement at the flagship plant. Long term, this role will lead the Lean culture transformation for the division.

The candidate must have experience facilitating Lean Kaizen Blitz (5 day workouts) events. This role will report to the Director of Operations. Responsibilities: Lead teams in driving improvements across all areas within the plant. Provide leadership and guidance in the Lean transformation.

Lead and facilitate Kaizen events Track cost down Lean event savings Champion a plant 5S program. Perform GEMBA walks for all Supervisors and Managers Tracking and managing project costs to budget Drive process changes in support of the ERP implementation Provide necessary training for employees to support continuous improvement ideas Direct the training of all company employees in Lean principles Implement value stream mapping Provide direct facilitation for specific Lean events Create documentation that will advertise, and communicate Lean successes Develop and standardize forms and materials required for the Lean office Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technology preferred 5+ years of experience in a related project management or product development role Required Lean Knowledge: SMED; Standard Work; Kanban / Pull Systems; TPM; Kaizen; 5S Visual; Value Stream Mapping; Continuous Flow / Cell Design Must demonstrate leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate others Manufacturing experience preferred Experience in leading teams through transition and innovating new processes Must demonstrate leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate others - 18 months ago - save job - block
