Firestone Building Products Company, LLC (FSBP) is a leading manufacturer and marketer of commercial/industrial roofing systems. We currently have an opening for a Continuous Improvement Manager to help drive our lean manufacturing objectives in our manufacturing facilities. This position will report to our Director of Manufacturing in our Indianapolis Corporate Headquarters and will be responsible for the following:

Llead the FSBP manufacturing continuous improvement and cost down efforts across our 15 locations. The position will promote improvement through Six Sigma, Standards Driven Process, 5S, Fault Tree Analysis, and Asset Sustainability (Total Productive Maintenance) to improve business and manufacturing processes. The incumbent will develop plans, coordinate and direct activities creating permanent change that insures a culture which embraces continuous improvement in an open, participative environment.

1) Continually promote and evolve the Continuous Improvement vision and mission, and drive measurable culture change. Train and facilitate education at all locations including but not limited to Lean and Six Sigma problem solving methods.
2) Develop implementation plans and timelines with follow-up and support thru Leader Coordinators identified at all physical locations.
3) Prepare plans to sustain the change momentum and identify goals for year over year improvement in product conversion cost. (Ongoing)
4) Support requirements set forth by Operations Managers as well as global projects as assigned by Manufacturing Director.

This position will require 30-40% travel.


4 year College degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Related discipline and Six Sigma Black Belt (Master Black Belt preferred)..

10 years experience in manufacturing, administration, or engineering/technology assignments with previous experience as a continuous improvement leader in a manufacturing environment.
