The scope of this position includes providing administrative, analytical and procedural support for the Contract Administration Department reporting directly to Counsel for Alere Informatics. These activities include, but are not limited to, providing support services to internal and external customers. The Contract Administrator works in partnership with account executives, ISWs and members of senior management in the processing and administration of all contracts.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Working directly with the sales executives and the ISWs to prepare the necessary license documents and provide needed consulting to ensure specified contract criteria are met
  • Work in partnership with Finance and Operations to ensure licenses and payment terms are acceptable
  • All administration associated with licensing including naming conventions, filing, scanning, i.e. customer portfolio
  • Support Counsel and Sales in developing corporate arrangements with large hospital corporations
  • Act as a resource to the Sales organization in regards to current policies and programs
  • Management of SalesForce (from a contractual perspective)
  • Interaction with external customers when necessary – to negotiate acceptable terms and conditions, negotiate and draft contract changes
  • Review and monitor compliance of contracts and regularly notify appropriate individuals when compliance with all relevant healthcare industry rules and regulations is not met
  • Generation of contracts and the tracking and processing of such, including generation of metrics, reports, trends analysis
  • Maintain contract logs for new contracts and amendments
  • Amend contracts for new products, term extensions or pricing changes
  • Maintain and provide updates to current contracts, templates and associated forms
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two to four years of experience directly related to contract administration. Candidates must be proficient in MS Office suite with intermediate to advanced experience in Word and Excel. Qualified candidates must have a proven track record in the following areas:

  • Organized, detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate with a strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team, meet deadlines & take instruction from multiple sources
  • Experience working with proposal and contract documentation with a clear understanding of data/document reporting, tracking and maintenance
  • Proactive decision-maker with the ability to see the big picture
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
