The Contract Administrator is responsible for identifying and
analyzing opportunities to establish contractual relationships with
suppliers of goods, equipment and services.
Analyzes utilization of existing contracts and evaluates
proposal data for the corporate purchasing function as well as for
individual Value Analysis Teams (VATs). Duties include information
gathering, vendor relations, proposal preparation, review and
analysis, preparation of routine and special project analysis to
support the VATs coordinating database management systems and
electronic interface needs, and periodically reviewing national and
locally-negotiated corporate purchasing agreements.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors
Degree in Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent
combination of education, training and/or related work
experience.
Three (3) years of progressively
responsible general business experience related to purchasing,
contract analysis, proposal development or related
functions.
Knowledge of Request for Proposal (RFP)
development, contract negotiation and process
administration.
Knowledge of health care materials
management operations and materials management information systems
(MMIS), statistical and financial analysis, budget preparation, value
and cost analysis, reimbursement and productivity
measurement.
Preferred:
Degree
in Business, Economics, Health Care Administration or related
field.
Experience with purchasing and/or service
contract, contract negotiation, or a national or local Group
Purchasing Organization (GPO).
