Denver International Airport's Airport Infrastructure Management (AIM) division is looking for Contract Administrators to join our team in the Construction and Design sections. We are seeking highly skilled, self-motivated team players with outstanding relationship-building, problem-solving, and negotiating skills to perform duties in contracts pertaining to DIA's Construction and Design operations. This is a tremendous opportunity to join DIA and work on a Project Management team that will ensure projects are completed on time and under budget. Our projects include runway rehabilitation, concourse expansion, parking structures, roadways, airfields, and buildings.

The Contract Administrator will work at DIA in a fast-paced environment working with different groups such as other DIA divisions, tenants, the Office of Economic Development, governing agencies, and the fire department, among others. Each Contract Administrator will work with a Project Manager and Project Inspectors that manage and administer construction or design projects. Primary duties for this role will include establishment and review of project schedules for design and construction projects, scheduling and organizing pre-construction conferences and weekly project meetings, tracking project expenditures, scheduling and conducting cost negotiation meetings, preparing Request for Proposal (RFP) and design and construction documents, and documents related to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
Tracks and documents contract execution according to specific contractual requirements and contractual parameters, updates project status reports per contract metrics and reports on critical issues based upon schedule and progress status reported by contractor against analysis from Project Manager and Project Controls. Coordinates project team activities to ensure timely responses on information reviews to maintain approved contractual milestones. Reviews requests for information and or contract change documents for accuracy and completeness of required information. In the absence of the Project Manager moderates weekly construction and specific design and construction meetings, maintains project financial information, and coordinates budget reviews with Project Controls. Facilitates review of contractor applications for payment and processes final approval invoices. Tracks on-going contractor updates of construction as-built documents against monthly project revisions. Assists in the coordination of other construction technical staff for project inspections and maintenance of inspections records. Tracks budget expenditures against the established project budget. Performs on-site investigations to verify compliance to contract and applications for payment, and re-inspects as necessary. Maintains contract files throughout the term of the contract, archives all resource documents, and completes reports for management on contractor performance. By position, performs some or all of the elements of lead work including planning, assigning, and reviewing work assignments of construction support personnel; providing training on contract administration techniques, policies and procedures; and resolving problems encountered during daily operations. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications (Please be certain relevant experience is reflected in your resume/application): Three years of professional experience performing construction contract administration, or construction, architectural, engineering project office administration Required Education (Please be certain education credentials are accurately reflected in your resume/application): Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, construction project management certificates, or a directly related field. Education/Experience Equivalency: Appropriate experience could substitute for the education requirement on a year-to-year basis. Licensure and/or Certification:
By position, requires a valid driver’s license.

Additional Information:
FBI Criminal Background Check required : an FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DIA). Employees are also required to report any felony conviction and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance / be eligible for continued employment. Compensation Range : $49,603 - $79,365

Probationary Period : The successful candidate will be required to complete a minimum six month probationary period (benefits will be active during this time) prior to attaining career status with the City.
