Coordinates and monitors the County's Local/Small Business Enterprise plan and monitors the County’s procurement process to ensure equal opportunity for qualified participants of contracting business and purchasing services with DeKalb County .
Monitors the County's procurement process for equal access of qualified participants.
Monitors prime contractor’s compliance with the Local/Small Business Enterprise program.
Coordinates and/or conducts seminars and training workshops.
Attends and monitors all bid openings.
Participates on all selection committees, reports on the selection process, and makes recommendations regarding the selection committee process.
Represents DeKalb County at local, statewide and national procurement events.
Provides technical assistance to department and procurement personnel.
Monitors expenditures for County's Minority/Women and Local/Small Business Enterprise programs.
Coordinates an outreach program designed to increase Minority/Women Business Enterprise and Local/Small Business Enterprise participation in the purchasing process.
Investigates vendor complaints, reports findings and makes recommendations to resolve complaints.
Evaluates and reviews bidder’s application and certification documents.
Completes weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and prepares statistical data tracking for contracts.
Coordinates annual procurement network fair for Minority/Women and Local/Small Business Enterprise vendors.
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Public or Business Administration or related field; two years of experience in Public Administration, Purchasing, Contract Administration, or a related field. A combination of training and experience above the minimum requirements will be considered.
