Assist Sales and Sourcing personnel with bid, purchase order and contract review, identification of key risk issues and preparation of comments to customer and third party terms & conditions.
  • Assist IT and Operations personnel with indirect procurement bid, purchase order and contract review, identification of key risk issues and preparation of comments to vendor terms & conditions.
  • Develop and update as required standard terms & conditions of sale and purchase and model contract documents.
  • Facilitate business risk transaction review and approval process, including briefing and review of key risk issues by cognizant management.
  • Discuss and negotiate terms & conditions issues with customers, suppliers and third parties in coordination with Business leadership, Finance and Legal Counsel.
  • Assist Legal Counsel with risk identification and mitigation efforts in key transaction areas including export and US Government agency transactions.
  • Assist Legal Counsel with implementation and monitoring of key third party agreements.
  • Assist in the development and updating of terms & conditions and related tools and resources for use by sales, sourcing and functional teams.
  • Requirements:
    • Excellent verbal, written & communication skills.
    • Excellent PC skills, including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
    • Highly motivated, self-starter.
    • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through on assignments.
    • Strong team player and contributor with ability to interface with all levels of organization & external parties.
    • Proven/demonstrated analytical skills.
    Qualifications:
    • BA or BS Degree.
    • 3+ years contract manager position with corporation or government agency or equivalent law firm/department experience.
    • More than 5 years of significant experience in contract negotiations or management in a corporate, government agency, university or law firm setting.
    • Experience working with a geographically dispersed work-force (distribution type business).
    • Successful record of working as a team contributor on commercial matters.
    • JD Degree or law school attendance not required; however, this position may be an entry position for an attorney position with the Rexel Holdings USA Legal Staff.
    Language Skills:
    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer and branch needs.

    Mathematical Skills:
    Ability to verify and calculate figures such as cost, credit, debit and profit, shortage, loss and understand and interpret financial and or inventory data and reports and balance sheets.

    Computer Skills:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, inventory software, internet software and order processing systems.

    Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze customer, branch and employee problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
