The Contract Specialist will assist in providing financial oversight and management to all accounting operations. to include budget preparation, financial reporting and analysis, procurement and asset management. Responsibilities also include seeking funding opportunities, including but not limited to grant writing, along with building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, government officials, and economic development agencies. Duties include management of capital resources and strategic market planning.


• Assist in preparation of statements, budget preparation, analysis, accounting oversight and external financial audits.

• Actively pursue funding opportunities for programs that can leverage resources to promote business.

• Build and maintain partnerships with economic development agencies, government officials, Fort Drum, and other organizations and agencies to assist with development plans.

• Maintain a positive relationship with business partners.

• Responsible for overseeing the asset management system and Insurance Policy Management.

• Responsible for maintaining and updating the Procurement Policy.

• Manage the accounts receivable collection process.

• Assure timely processing of vendor payments per state requirements.

• Facilitate projects of regional significance that improve the health and well-being of the people across the region.

• Other assigned and related duties as required.


• Four year degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related academic areas

• Minimum of 7 years of qualifying work experience

• Exceptional verbal communication and writing skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to routinely manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines

• Exceptional relationship building skills
