Our client, a highly successful company located in the Boston, MA area, is seeking a Contracts Manager to work globally drafting, negotiating and managing a variety of commercial contracts and subcontracts for the sale of large-scale, moderate to complex, hardware and professional services. Contracts will also include agreements with distributors, vendors and consultants.
Commercial contracting experience, preferably in the Utility industry, and the ability and willingness to support contracts actions and/or requirements is needed. This also involves pricing, and developing a win price strategy.
Among other skills and experience, this position requires:
: Contracts Administration experience with significant experience as lead negotiator dealing with sophisticated and diverse client base
: Certification as CFCM or CPCM is a plus.
: Experience in negotiation and administration of various domestic and international contracts, contract types and product lines including hardware, software, services, distributor agreements and licensing.
: Ability to identify, analyze and mitigate financial and legal exposure in contractual arrangements.
: Proven organizational skills with a strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with multiple, ongoing demands.
: Must be able to multi-task and interact effectively with senior customer business, contracting and legal personnel, subcontractors and internal staff.
: Experience working directly with senior level executives and in house legal staff
: Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of contract issues.
: Computer skills in Microsoft word, including redlining, formatting and creation of documents ready for execution
: Organizational skills to develop, implement and maintain filing system for contracts
: Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree (JD and/or MBA) a plus
