The Control Laboratory Analyst is responsible for performing various laboratory analyses in a timely and accurate manner while complying with all applicable policies and procedures.
Major Responsibilities
Application of analytical techniques such as pipetting, titrating (buret), volumizing and weighing.
Standardize reagents, mix solutions and perform calibrations and control checks as required
Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of equipment such as autotitrators, spectrophotometers, GCs and LCs
Apply experience in wet chemistry analyses such as titration, color, specific gravity, moisture, pH, etc.
Maintain SQC control charts.
Required Skills
Required
Experience in gas and liquid chromatography.
Must be familiar with ISO 9000 & 14000, GLP and GMP.
Must have good working knowledge of a LIMS system and a chromatography system. Other computer skills include E-Mail, MS Word and MS Excel.
Must be able to communicate effectively, multitask, and work independently.
Ability to document effectively and accurately.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interface with internal/external customers/suppliers.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Results oriented with the ability to excel in a self-initiated learning environment
Preferred
Experience in LC and GC basic troubleshooting is also preferable.
Qualifications
Associates Degree or better in Chemical Laboratory Technology or Chemistry (BS in Chemistry preferred) and one (1) year of verifiable Control Lab Analyst experience in the chemicals industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
