This systems engineer position will be filled at a junior or mid-senior level, depending on knowledge, skills and abilities. The incumbent e ngineers and maintains control systems software and hardware for System Operations (SCADA/EMS/Advanced Applications), hydro plant facilities, water system, PI Historian, cyber security, CIP compliance, hatcheries and the control networks. The work includes integration of the systems with other company systems, maintenance of the historian system and communications with external utilities. Engineer, implement, maintain, and monitor the equipment that comprises the company's control systems and networks, and will also troubleshoot and correct problems whenever they occur, including after normal business hours.
An Associate's Degree in EE or Computer Programming for the junior position (Bachelor's Degree for mid-senior level position) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires related work experience in manufacturing, utility, engineering or control systems; mid-senior level requires experience performing electrical engineering at a utility, performing computer programming or working in electric utility system operations.
GE iFix, Intellution, ESCA, Monarch, oracle, PI software, OPC, MODBUS/MB+, DNP, Telegyr, TASE2, DH+, ODBC, UDP, TCP, and DECNET. Prograrmming languages are VB, SQL and C. Must be a self-starter and work well independently and part of a team. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are required.
