BAE Systems is searching for a Control Systems Technician experienced in troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating a variety of electrical/pneumatic industrial control and monitoring instrumentation utilized in production & utility environments.

Primary responsibilities include: preventive and/or corrective maintenance for instrumentation and controls of production/utility equipment, PLC/DCS control systems, pumps, motors, VFD's, scales, job scoping for materials lists, and assisting Electricians. Experience with basic troubleshooting and repairs of Allen-Bradley and Siemen’s PLC automation equipment/networks preferred. Associates degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or Electromechanical Technology desired.

~ Assist with maintaining electrical and pneumatic instrumentation and control
systems in reliable working condition through execution of preventive and
corrective maintenance as required.

~ Installation and configuration of new electrical and pneumatic instrumentation
that monitor/control temperature, humidity, flow, level, pressure, pH, and
conductivity in continuous production and plant utilities applications.

~ Upkeep of calibration records in Honeywell Loveland System.

~ Creation/revision of calibration procedures in accordance with OEM
recommendations and application.

~ Document corrective/preventive maintenance actions for CMMS program.

~ Assist Engineering with project implementation for modifications, upgrades, and
installation of new equipment and/or control systems.

~ Ability to utilize fork lift, hand tools, & electronic test equipment including:
multimeters, calibrators, communicators, oscilloscope, process meter, &
calibration test standards.

~ Record keeping of calibrations & upkeep of standards.

~ Ability to use electrical schematics, single lines, P&ID’s, shop mathematics,
handbook formulas, and precision measuring instruments.

~ Perform complicated duties or assignments involving a fairly comprehensive
knowledge of equipment/materials and process to meet customer, quality, and
performance standards.

~ Maintain a working knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA, and OSHA
Safety Procedures.

~ Willing to support plant operations in afterhours emergency call-in / on-call

~ Adherence to all Plant Protection Standards, PPE requirements, Company
Policies, & Guidelines.

~ Other duties as determined by Group Leader or Department Manager.

Required Skills:
Education: High school diploma or GED with Associates degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or Electromechanical Technology. Experience: Ten years minimum combined related experience in industrial maintenance / utility / construction / OEM check-out & start-up. Preferred Skills:
Prior work experience in a chemical or hazardous material production facility desired.
