Interim Corporate Controller

This position will report to, and partner with, the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for providing leadership and coordination forthe conpany's accounting function including all accounting operations, tax and day-to-day banking functions; ensure company accounting procedures and financial statements conform to generally accepted accounting principles; produce internal financial statements on a timely basis and be the primary owner of the Companys annual audit. As a secondary focus, the Interim Controller will assist the CFO with budgets and forecasting.
The successful candidate will combine the technical expertise and experience to lead and manage the corporate accounting area. They will have a great attitude and communication skills with personnel of all levels of the organization. They will understand that the administrative function is a support group that enables success without putting up walls that block that success. They will proactively find solutions.

Lead, manage and be able to perform all areas of accounting operations, including monthly close processes and all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, UK subsidiary, contracts, revenue recognition, reporting, collections, financial planning and analysis;
Own Great Plains and FRx systems and reporting
Maintain day-to-day banking and cash management relations;
Develop and maintain internal control system, accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting, ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles;
Manage the companys international accounting service providers for all accounting, tax, audit and other financial matters;
Manage all tax compliance with required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes. Research international tax issues on matters that relate to foreign subsidiaries and foreign withholding tax exposure worldwide;
Manage annual audit process and relationship with external auditors and tax accountants;
Act as the technical expert for the Company providing proactive advice on matters related to revenue recognition, stock option accounting and other new accounting pronouncements;
Manage the worldwide insurance plans including directors and officers insurance, errors and omissions, workers compensation, general liability and property coverage;
Work closely with sales and business development management in generating sales quotes, and conditions of orders and resolving customer issues;
Preparation of monthly board packages, debt reporting packages, venture capital investor reporting packages and other financial reports as needed;
Manage and maintain the companys stock plan and ASC 718 (formerly FAS 123R) stock based compensation expense utilizing Equity Edge;
Assist the CFO in developing and maintaining monthly forecast and reporting as needed.

Skills Required:
5 -10 years of experience as a Corporate Controller required and finance experience supporting field and/or business divisions preferred;
Experience managing accounts payable, receivables, payroll, banking, cash, international consolidations and software revenue recognition;
Great Plains and FRx experience required and Equity Edge experience preferred;
Excellent Excel skills
Strong current knowledge of U.S. GAAP;
Experience with financial reporting and financial statement preparation;
Experience with federal, state and local tax reporting requirements;
Experience with financial forecasting including cash, expense and revenue forecasts;
Ability to develop solid working relationships with direct reports and broader management teams;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
CPA with experience at Big 4 accounting firm preferred;
BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or related field.
