The Resins & Chemicals (R&C ) business unit, a $1.8billion revenue enterprise, is one of five business units which comprise the Specialty Materials strategic business group. The Frankford Plant, located in Philadelphia, PA, is one of three manufacturing locations in Resins & Chemicals. The total census of the plant is approximately 165 FTE’s.

The Controller position reports directly to the Resins & Chemicals CFO, with matrix reporting responsibilities to the Philadelphia PA, Frankford Plant Manager and SM ISC Finance Director

Lead plant accounting integration into the Specialty Materials financial environment including implementation of SAP
Lead financial advisor to Plant Manager and site leadership teams. Also, provides financial support to the Chemical Intermediates market segment team

Management of site accounting process:
o Cost accounting activities: Manufacturing cost analysis, reporting, forecasting, and inventory product costing

o General accounting activities: General ledger processing, and balance sheet analysis, forecasting

o Plant, property & equipment accounting: Capital investment economic analysis, fixed asset records maintenance, and fixed asset accounting

Lead the sites' Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process as well as actively participate in the sites' Strategic Plan (STRAP) process
Oversight for creating and maintaining a strong internal control environment
Ensure compliance with corporate control policies including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
5 years minimum experience working in a corporate financial role

Additional Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Supervisory, Leadership or management experience
Commercial business experience (i.e., business analysis, financial planning & analysis) is desired.
MBA or CPA preferred
Strong business acumen
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the business
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Six-Sigma Greenbelt certification or equivalent process improvement background preferred
Ability to manage multiple, critical projects simultaneously and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment .
