The Controller is responsible for accurate and on time close process, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, budgeting/planning/forecasting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and standards, implementation of process improvements to increase efficiencies/reduce cycle times and overall management of the day to day activities of the accounting department.
Organization Structure:
The Controller reports directly to the Director of Finance. Reporting directly to the Controller position are the Accounting Manager and the Project Analyst, with indirect reports of (3) Accountants responsible for all general accounting and transactional processing.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities : Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:
Expert knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), cost accounting standards (CAS)
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections, budgets/forecasts – P&L, BS, CF – both long and short term planning processes
Management of annual audit requirements and tax return preparation with third party auditors – NPI site, internal control structure
Ability to motivate teams and produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage multiple projects and priorities
Lead closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and management of all accounting activities
Develop and implement software solutions to allow for analysis of the business
Business reporting/profitability analysis and assessment of decisions on financial and business results

10+ year’s financial experience
Demonstrated internal control experience
Strong leadership skills
Certified public accountant or certified management accountant
