There is currently an urgent need for a Controls Engineer with metal stamping experience to join a stable organization on a full-time basis. Provide programming installation and maintenance to new and existing production equipment
Evaluate and make recommendations on equipment updates
Troubleshoot programming failures and make adjustments as necessary
Sets up new programs, PLC ladder logic , robot interfacing and documentation
Implement improvements in the cycle time of robotic welding and assemblies
Trains personnel in the use of robots and PLCs
All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration
Please DO NOT APPLY unless you have at least 3+ years of experience working as a Controls Engineer in a metal stamping facility; Candidates with more experience are strongly encouraged to apply as well
Thorough understanding of spot welding , metal stamping and assembly processes
Complete understanding of PLCs and programming with the ability to program/teach robots
Electrical knowledge ( National Electrical Code) and control wiring
Able to prepare, read, write and interpret reports, technical procedures, blueprints, diagrams, requirements instructions, etc.
