Job Description:
Nexeo is seeking a highly qualified Controls Engineer to fill a vacancy at one of our Ogden clients. This position will be dealing with PLCs, Ladder Logix, HMI systems, etc. The right candidate must be able to work as part of a team but must also work well independently to perform the job specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities:
' Performing task that require an extensive knowledge of Allen-Bradley Control Logix PLC's
' Perform system start-ups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding and power testing.
' Reload and reboot PLC to restore faulted equipment after power outages.
' Setup and configure replacement boards and assemblies to fit specific applications.
' Specify, organize and maintain adequate spare parts and modules for control and instrumentation systems.
' Tune automatic feedback on closed loops using PID Controllers
' Maintain "to-do" lists and system trouble reports and routinely report status
' Develop thorough working knowledge of quality monitoring system architecture and provide single point of contact for trouble-shooting problems involving data generated between instrumentation and downstream quality data systems.
' Participate in the development of project scopes, design of systems, and functional specifications.
' Utilize technical materials to troubleshoot and maintain systems.
Qualifications
Experience and Education:
' A minimum of 5 years industrial manufacturing experience.
' Allen-Bradley Control Logix PLC's
' HMI's: Wonderware, Intellution, and Panelviews
' Servo and motion controls
' Product recognition systems
' Instrumentation including temperature, pressure, flow, mass density
' Database architecture and system interfaces
