PSC is a leading process consulting and contract engineering company. For over 10 years we have been engaged in providing project, process, engineering and validation support to top-tier pharmaceutical and biotech companies. We are presently seeking an experienced Controls Engineer professional with extensive experience in writing function specs and understanding the functionality from the controls point of view for kettle control systems.
Writing the function specs for the kettle control systems
Create software design specifications, implement new control strategies and develop software test protocols in support of new products and processes.
Interact with change control system for any necessary system changes. This includes reviewing control system changes and assuring appropriate documentation is developed and maintained.
Responsible for system backup file maintenance and support of the automation system infrastructure.
BS degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required. M.S. Degree a plus.
5+ years of controls engineering experience in a GMP environment.
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, a solid understanding of controls principles and standards, strong problem solving ability, attention to detail, initiative and teamwork/collaboration skills are required of this role.
Technically proficient in instrument selection / maintenance and control system design and specification.
A Plant-Floor, hands-on focus is required.
