The Convenience Store Clerk is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by operating a cash register and assisting customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Maintain good human relations by ensuring that customers receive the best customer service. Responsible for operating a cash register in an accurate and efficient manner. Follow policies for ringing up and selling age-restricted products. Collect money, checks, electronic payments, and coupons from the customer and make correct change. Assure the security of cash drawer at all times. Handle customers' merchandise carefully and bag merchandise when necessary. Answer customer questions and/or obtain answers for customers. Will perform various aspects of store operations, which may include the following: stocking shelves and coolers, bookkeeping, loading/unloading trucks, transporting merchandise to storage areas and sales floor, receiving, completing necessary reports, pricing product, ordering product, performing inventory audits, housekeeping and loss prevention control.

REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to communicate with customers in a friendly, efficient manner. Must be able to count. Must be able to perform addition, subtraction, and division calculations. Must be able to read instructions. Must be able to stand almost constantly (more than 80% of time worked). Must have dexterity in hands to scan/ring items, operate cash register and bag orders. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. periodically.

DESCRIPTION :
The Deli Clerk/Cook will assist in the operation of the Deli Department under the direction of the Deli Manager. Including cooking and preparing deli products, assist in controlling shrink and maintaining freshness; providing exceptional customer service; maintaining good housekeeping on the sales floor and storage areas.

Must be able to stoop and reach frequently. Must be able to lift, carry, and/or push/pull up to 60 pounds infrequently (6-10% of time worked). Must have dexterity of hands. Must have visual and sensory ability to determine quality of deli product. Due to unique safety requirements, the minimum age for this position is 18 years of age.
